For this project, I focused mainly on the exploration and experimentation of materials and how I could create different shapes, textures, and surfaces with them; for instance, I dyed fabrics with coffee and tea and set them on fire, I heated tyvek and lutradur with iron and heat gun to shrink, distort, and burn holes through them, I tied coins, beads, and cotton balls inside polyester fabric and boiled it until the new shape became permanent, and I stuffed and tied latex gloves to create bulbous shapes. The different surfaces that I created are partly imaginary and partly inspired by nature and landscapes.

Combining the work with my physical body is a step beyond my original idea. By being a part of my body, the piece becomes the embodiment of my style, personality, free spirit, and all that I am.
