BOOK is collection of Ironic Typography created from the object the word represents or relates to, presented in an artist book style format. 

The project started with playing around with spelling words with the same material the word spelled. For example, the word “sugar” spelled out in sugar. I created several iterations out in public and left them there for people to encounter. Some iterations were created using elements of nature (“sand”) and some were created using manmade materials (“coffee“). 

Presenting the images in a collection in a book that used the letters in the word “book” further illustrated the ironic concept of the project. 

I felt this project concept and execution worked really well because it gave me an opportunity to experiement and have some fun  while creating something other people could enjoy.
