I designed a book which contains the texts for both, Animal Farm by George Orwell and The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. The typography has been designed in a way which visually represents the conversation between the two books. The text from the manifesto acts as commentary on Animal Farm. Designed for Micah Barrett's Type 2 Class.
The dialogue between the two voices progresses through the course of this book — though it initially acts as side notes, the Manifesto gradually invades the body text as its ideologies seemingly begin to dictate the narrative of Animal Farm.
