This project was done for a Drawing Composition II class. The assignment was to do a master copy of a famous work and insert ourselves into the piece. The original work is called "The Cardsharp" by Caravaggio, the 1400-1500s Italian sculptor and painter. The recreated piece was scaled down slightly and done in charcoal instead of acrylic paint. The boy on the left was the character that I replaced and put myself. The entire project was done over the span of about two weeks.
