For so many people, animals can brighten the room and one's life. You don't necessarily have to be interacting with your pet; just having them in the room is often enough to ease depression and anxiety. They give comfort in the way they look at you admiringly, following you from room to room. They run to greet you when you arrive home after a long day, and sometimes even cry when you leave. Without using any words animals have a wonderful way to say "I love you".
This is one of the first artworks that study how animals have an impact upon people's lives. Depression and anxiety is more widespread than most people realize; 1-in-5 people will experience mental illness a year, and 1-in-25 people will suffer extreme cases.
To help combat the very real and sometimes debilitating effects of mental illness, 10% of profit from sales will be donated to various mental health charities and awareness groups such as the Mental Health Foundation.
