The Art of Mundane

I had a long summer after four years in 2017. I was not used to long vacations anymore. My pleasure of being at home slowly transitioned to boredom. One afternoon I was laying on the edge of my bed staring at the light streaming in through the window and I noticed the patterns it made on my cabinet wallpaper. I realized the artful aspects of a mundane life, and things were not so mundane anymore. Attention to details makes the most ordinary things interesting. This is where the idea for this week long project stemmed from. I started documenting the play of light in my immediate surroundings, precisely only inside my home.
