This series focuses on the less observed and complex areas of human anatomy in extensive detail. My work highlights isolated body parts that one would typically see very little of on themselves. Using the medium of colored pencils, I am able to replicate depth and the subtle, translucent surface of flesh. Taking these anatomical extremities out of context creates a surreal image. I further these qualities by intensifying the color saturation. These concentrated anatomical renderings are not for shock value, but to investigate the beautiful and complex nature of the body.
