The Art of Carol Racklin-Siegel

The first piece is an appliquéd tapestry -- made with hand painted raw silk and hand painted velvet pieces on top. The inspiration for this piece is the Cyclamen Flower, and the combination of the fabric textures. It is approximately 36" by 34".
This tryptic is painted on silk pongee using dyes and gutta resist. It is inspired by Persian miniature paintings.
