THE FILE: 1st half of production
I was a supporting actor and assistant director and what I learned from this project is working with fellow film students is tedious. My perspective of being a film student is you have to live it and execute it as if your working on a studio film, which demands preparation and a clear visioin of the story. I was frustrated that the crew would only extend themselves the length of the class and nothing beyond. And as a result the lack of initiative was a strain on my drive and enthusiasm. What I have to improve on is assertiveness, I should have been more ruthless and tenacious to get one of my two pitches greenlit. They would have been difficult, but they would have offered a myriad of various scenarios to shoot in, we would have learned how to attain permits, shooting outside,  as well as functioning in 1st unit, 2nd unit groups and off course we would have wrapped by finals.

I took the initiative and held a light rather than fiddling with a tripod.
I'm briefing the crew on the composition of the shot for the "Gibberish Scene"
At my wits end with the sluggish pace of the final day of shooting.
Best Day of Shooting, The Danielle's and Iran have drive and determination that the whole class can learn from.
I'm over joyed at the possibilities of using the Ronin Rig on THE FILE project. I feel we didn't use it enough.
A Joke advertisement for our movie, I love the instincts of Xavier and Danielle while Im flexing my kick pose.
Day One kicked off unofficially with the schools actual janitor playing.....a janitor. He hit it out of the park and I was happy to announce his first and last day of shooting, which was on the same day.
Im giddy this day, Im excited to be on set acting. Xavier performing his closeup and I am goofing around off screen.
As mentioned in the still, this was my favorite scene to shoot. Iran executed good lighting and framing and Danielle made my job easy pretending to be infatuated with her character.
Not sure if this angle will make it in the final cut, but we were trying a different range of emotions, Edith appears conflicted at first than gradually accepts Dante's embrace.
My favorite day of shooting, I was happy with all the angles and performances from the lead and myself. And.....we're using the RONIN Rig, beautiful motion.
