MUJI Corded Headphones

An exercise in brand-specific styling of a pair of quality headphones.
The in Europe lesser known brand - or rather 'no-brand' - MUJI offers a wide range of products for the home and personal life. It's main target audience consists of rural middle-class Japanese people, looking for calmness, tranquility and serenity. MUJI's products are white and minimalist, yet highly functional. They suit the user's need well, but do nothing more. You can describe them as Intentionally Enough.

We used MUJI's design philosophy and typical styling to create a pair of quality headphones. The focus here was to create an undoubtedly typical MUJI product, both explicitly (Form, colour, detailing) and implicitly (Functionality, core brand values).
