An adaptive identity for a young architecture and design practice.

From humble beginnings as a sole practitioner to leading a busy studio, Lynsay Bell Architecture wanted to solidify her growing reputation and client base with a new visual identity and online presence.

The practice’s work involves both interior design elements as well as architectural considerations that work together — we defined this as ‘a harmonious approach’, building this idea around a simple, adaptive logo that forms the core of the new visual identity.

The flexible line device can change orientation and expand depending on application, suggesting the practice’s forward progression, momentum and growth — while allowing for more creative application both on and offline. Neutral colour and typography result in a minimal visual identity that lets the work do the talking.

Collaborating with photographer Angus Bremner, we documented overviews and details of each project, as well as commissioned portraiture for the studio team.

For LBA’s online portfolio, we designed and developed a fully-content managed site that would showcase their growing body of work and new visual identity while expanding on the practice culture in more detail.
