Alrighty folks,

This week I spent quite a bit of time on this project, mainly because I started going in one direction, and it just wasn't panning out, so I ditched it and went with another poster/sci-fi looking thing.

It had a lot to do with explosion brushes and masks and liquify to get the disintegrating man, and then playing with hues and curves... bringing in several different snippets of random photos... some drawing to get the veins look, (those I hand brushed over his veins on one layer, and then found a plasma explosion electricity thingy and overlayed that)

Oh, and I used the skull picture overtop of his head and used the "subtract" feature to give it that funky dirty/burnt look.

the plasma beam he's being hit with is a lightsaber blade I took from another picture.

In case you were wondering, this is what I started with... I think I could have made it pretty cool, but with free images, I couldn't find a military dude that looked intense or menacing... so it just never looked right...
