Daily Routine of a Young Soul
Meet the model. She is a 78-Years old lady with a young soul. She is a rag-picker. With her energetic spirit and warm soul, she allowed me to click her photographs.She is into this work since decades. Before that, She was a helper at some Girls' hostel. She originally belongs to Nepal but due to shifting of his family, she had to come here some 43 years ago.
She comes to work at 10 am on a regular working day and starts with segregation of plastics. She do segregate plastics round the clock.
Removing the rings from the bottles necks and putting back the bottles in a sack is her work all day.
As I surprised her with Pizza (As I thought why not make her try something new.) But as it turned out that she had already ate that and asked me to bring 'onion flavor' next time.
After working for 3 hours, she takes break for lunch and rest.
At the way home,she bargaining vegetables with a vendor.
She goes to home, prepares herself lunch.
She even invited me to her house and offered me to eat.

And enjoy her food watching television.
After eating, she do the dishes and get ready to go back to work as the lunch break is over.
Keeping them neat in order.
Her evenings are also spent segregating plastics of different colors and variety.
Now counting the day's sweat.
At around 5, she is done for the day.
Come night and I had to bid Goodbyes to her.She isn't some boring old aged woman and turned out to be very cheerful and carefree worker who works with full passion, goes home and sleeps well! It was a real pleasure working with this kind, fun soul and I would definitely want to feature her again.
