This rendering shows the lighting design concept for a lobby space in a young marketing firm.  Several different elements of nature inspred the design throughout the entire space.  In the lobby, ripples of light in water inspired the tiered, cove-lit ceiling, and light shining through bamboo inspired the stips of light along the walls.
The workroom space for a young marketing firm is used to build sets and for photoshoots.  The illuminance levels need to be uniform for when powertools are used to build sets, and dimmable for photoshoots when lighting needs to be very specific.  With all of the activity happening in this space, I was inspired by the hardworking honey bee.  The ceiling is composed of round cut accoustical ceiling tiles with round pendant downlights dispersed throughout.  The pendandts will provide the requred light levels and the overall appearance of the ceiling is inspired by honeycomb.
This is an exterior rendering of a restaurant designed for a new addition to an existing warehouse that I remodeled as a farmers market.  The project site was in a small historic town that was looking for a modern new waterfront district to add to the culture of the area.  The restaurant is designed with daylighting as a major consideration.  There is a river view to the southeast of the site, so a view to this from the restaurant was desireable.  To allow for this however, I used a system of mesh shades with a lightshelf to prevent direct sunlight and glare.
This rendering shows my renovation plan for the existing warehouse on the site.  The walls and roof over the bay closest to the river will be removed to expose the structure of the mill and create an enclosed but open walkway next to the river.  The rest of the warehouse will remain covered so that the space may be used for a seasonal farmers market or other activities.

Final rendering with artistic filters of the front entrance of a gallery I designed to display works of Vincent Van Gogh.  Created using Revit Architecture and Adobe Photoshop CS6.
This is a building section of the gallery that I designed with colors indicating different floor levels.  The gallery is estimated to earn LEED silver accreditation because of a focus in sustainable daylighting features.

The dome in the main gallery space has a phosphorescent coat of paint that is excited by sunlight, causing it to change color throughout the day without the use of color changing LED technology.  These images were created in Revit Architecture.
