Flatlands and Fragments

We analyzed plaster through different planes. I learned how to work backwards and deconstruct my idea to develop my design. I understood in this project how to 3D print through analog methods. I also learned how to use plaster and how volume of an object works with movement.
I made templates to make the plaster of the flatlands from A3 paper
I copied each layer but changed the edges of each layer to make it look different and give the overall look movement
I cut each layer from foam board by a curvy cutter
I made plaster to make 3D layers
I redid my broken layers
I scanned each layer
Photos were taken of my layers
final sculpture on the podium
uploaded each layer onto photoshop changed the opacity and the size
I uploaded each layer onto Gif Maker
I changed the opacity of each layer to show the intersection between them. I then saved each layer with the previous one.
I showed each layers are shaped differently
I showed the layers becoming bigger
I reversed the size of the layers
