One of our oldest traditions in Mexico is "milagritos" which translates to "small miracle". The way it works; you buy a small piece of brass, which can be eyes, legs, hands or hearts and you put it in a saint's altar. This tradition is part of the syncretism that happened when Spain conquered my country.

I did this when I got some difficult news so, unconsciously I started embroidering to feel at peace, now as we got a good outcome I felt I was part of this tradition that has been going on for centuries.
