Abraham’s Inferno

Abraham's Inferno
I constructed a pavilion with 7 rooms representing each of the seven sins. Conceptually, as seen in the video, it is supposed to start in the natural, external world and then progress into the interior of the pavilion, shown above. This pavilion is very interactive as forcing the participant to dive deeper into each sin (envy, lust, sloth, gluttony, greed, and wrath) until they reach the bottomless pit of their souls, or, in this case, just the exit door. It brings a morale message through the participant in a fun way, filled with neon lights and euro-dance music. I experimented with many transparent/opaque materials, lights, and textures to add meaning and create an immersive experience. At the end of the pavilion, a TV screen will be showing the video below on loop, which sets the seductive yet disturbing mood of this morally-decaying fun house.
