T.I.G. 

During the final year of university a range of products were designed for the industry of house removals. House removals is a very traditional form of transporting personnel goods from one address to the other and is a very old profession. In time this is an industry which has been neglected to innovation and is in need of updating. House removals is a highly strenuous job for the teams that carry out the service on a daily basis, the team constantly fight against clock and if corners are cut, this can lead to an expensive consequence. Extensive primary research was carried out to find loop holes in areas which could be enhanced in order to save the team either strain or time, or both. 

The research board above highlights the current issues and the selected items of equipment chosen to enhance by designing a housing and dispensing unit. This will help aid the equipment from getting damaged, help prevent the team from sustaining long term injury and help aid the team in time efficiency on a daily basis.

The above board indicates the steps of use for each of the selected pieces of equipment. Firstly, the mattress bags. Secondly, issues with furniture blankets and thirdly, the issue of tape storage on the vehicles.

Final design of the product range. Mattress bag dispenser, blanket box and tape dispenser. The design is sleek, robust and cost efficient to the producer and the consumer. The mattress bag dispenser allows the team to simply pull a bag through the slot with ease and tear the bag off one at a time, this also keeps the bags dry from wet weather conditions. the blanket box it fully collapsable, keeps blankets dry and allows the vehicle to appear tidy at all times. The tape dispenser provides a sturdy and secure place for the tape to be stored and dispensed at all times. Ensuring the rolls themselves keep clean, undamaged and not wasted.

Rapid prototypes were produced to display in a three-dimensional manner design profiles and practicality.

The products in situation of the working environment, demonstrating how the products would enhance vehicle appearance. These products would have a dramatic effect on the efficiency of removals on a day to day basis on both the team and the owner/ manager of the company.
