The combination of simplicity and intricacy
 

The Bio-Cab merges minimalist form with intricate pattern work.  Initially created for my History of Furniture class, the goal of this storage space was to reinterperate classical decoration in a modern and self-expressive manner.  A voronoi-inspired design is CNCed into slabs of wood to both challenge and confront the concept of furniture ornamentation. The simple, white rectangle acts as a functional, three-dimensional canvas that not only displays an intricate design,but is able to store many objects of various shapes and sizes.
