Clockwork Joinery is a concept born from the idea of interpreting the beauty and charm of an antique clock into a piece of furniture.
It is braced to the ceiling and floor with 2 threaded columns. Rotating the central disc alters the height of the main unit. All the gears are exposed creating a sense of honesty. Through mechanically rotating the disc and the warmth of wood a nostalgic connection is established with the user.
Varying the heights, it can serve many purposes such as Bench seating, Desk, Counter/Bar and high storage.
