Chatoyance is the final part to the ambiguous Table/Stool series. This piece utilizes the natural Chatoyant properties of grain direction within wood to create pattern from light. This piece directly interacts with the viewer through its environment and movement. It can be used in any orientation and is a conceptual photo-type for larger interior architectural installations. It is made of hundreds of hand-cut maple veneer pieces through a hand-generated pattern.
