I designed these characters for short animation project. Its story is set in near future where VR headset had become dominant medium and had replaced majority of the traditional flat screens. And one day, for some mysterious reason, all adults disappeared. Chaos broke out. The internet was compromised among many other infrastructures. The world wide web was no longer functioning as a global system. Instead, it was fragmented to little pieces. Groups started to form depending on which part of the internet they had access to. This divide, where internet played dominant role in shaping one's identity and behavior, naturally promoted tribalism. VR headsets became parents for some tribes, weapons for others, and even an object of worship in some cases.

The story is about the kids left in a world filled with technologies without instruction. It's about their struggle to survive, to figure out what had happened, to make sense of things and to find meanings of it all. Son Lux's song, 'We Are the Ones' along with two novels, 'Blindness' by José Saramago and 'The Leftovers' by Tom Perrotta are some of the biggest inspiration for this project.
