In these photos, I took photographs of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and appropriated them. I played with the fact that President Trump always has exaggerated faces and he seems to always be holding something. My model held various make-up instruments and copied his expressions as best she could. I put the American Flag in the background to tie the photographs together.

My project speaks about how political figures in contemporary politics are fabricated images that use their name and slogans as commercial brands. President Trump, as a politician, is always speaking about himself, and how he will make his country great again while my model is making herself great by putting on artificial layers that mask her true self.
