As the only industrial design intern for Klear Vu, the home textiles company I worked over this past summer, I had a lot of freedom to pursue my own ideas. The only thing they asked of me was to "create new products that fit into niches" — so that's what I did.
Process
I created an idea wall as I researched both in-store and online for products and possible new markets. Pulling inspiration from fashion and architecture, I designed several trend boards for the next year. After drafting some ideas, I went straight to work with prototypes, testing, discussing ideas, redesigning, and testing again. All of the products were manufactured by my own hand.
Thank you!
