Bradford Darkroom Collective are a group of photographers creating a traditional photographic darkroom to develop their practice, experiment and collaborate.

The BDC logo mark is inspired by vintage camera manufacturer brands and more specifically the way they applied their brands to packaging and the cameras themselves. Simple geometric shapes, bold type and strong contrast in line and colour all featured heavily and this is something we wanted to utlise to form a strong, recognisable mark to represent BDC.

We started work on the identity while plans for the darkroom and, more specifically, its final location were still underway. After much searching a suitable site was found and, once completed, BDC held a group exhibition to launch their new space, titled A Few Pictures We Have Taken.
