2012 Picture of the Week - Week 11:

The peculiar shape of the Columbine flower has always intrigued me. This bunch appeared early and I was enthralled by all of the detail in not just the blossom but in the leaf as well. They could easily pass for an unmatched pair. This image juxtaposes the shapes and accentuates the relative values to show a very small example of natures extremes even within the same organism.
