Gadarmal Jain Temple - Unknown gem of a destination -

Gadarmal Jain Temple
This 10th-11th-century temple was originally a Hindu temple, later converted into a Jain shrine. Located in 'Badoh'  & 'Pathari' village (two villages which are separated by the lake), which are rich in architectural heritage. There are about 25 small shrines inside the temple complex &  the Idols of Jain Tirthankaras can be found here in large numbers.
The Tirthankara Idol which is surrounded by beautifully engraved walls.

The Mountain as seen from here covers the Major part of the Pathari & Badoh. Presently, they are been dug for stones.

Hope this place (and many such places) should soon be restored to save the rich culture that the Ancient India had & the history related to them. Documented this place while I went to Madhya Pradesh in June 2017, heard a lot about this place from my Grandparents and cousins who live there (Pathari). After witnessing through my own eyes, I can say this place is one of those hidden treasures with marvellous architecture that were nearly destroyed by the rulers. The temple is in a dilapidated condition and needs serious clearing of the sculptures & restoration work. See you soon with the next Project. Hope you all liked it.
Thank you.
