When I first drew this model, there was a frank air about her: she didn't really seem to act much like an artist's model and more like a portrait commission. I wanted to capture some of that personality in her bold hair, nails, and of course her tattoo.

Naturally her surroundings also had to step up to her level, but I hope she still stands out as the boldest of all the stones and gold around her.
