Located on the second storey of a shophouse along 29 Mayo Street, just behind Exit B of Rochor MRT, Good Life Tattoos offers a snug studio that welcomes walk-ins and specialises in custom tattoos.

Accompanied by an airy and mild oil-scented ventilation, the quiet room – save for the occasional buzz of the tattoo machines – and two studio lights set an intimate ambience.

Jeremy Tan, 27-year-old. Full-time Tattoo Artist, Founder of Good Life Tattoo

Jeremy revealed that his favourite tattoo on himself is ‘Ora Et Labora’, which stands for ‘Pray and Work’, along with his wife and two sons’ names ‘Sunisa', 'Jovi' and 'Joachim’. Starting a family has been his proudest achievement thus far.
According to Jeremy, common tattoos people get are names, dates or their pets.
Since Good Life Tattoos specialises in customised designs, Jeremy gave a rundown of the consultation process; a customer will usually show him an image of their desired tattoo, and Jeremy himself would modify and tweak it a little to the final design.
Willychey, 16-year-old, a tattoo apprentice at Good Life Tattoo.

Good Life Tattoo is currently resident to three artists and four apprentices. Jeremy also disclosed that he personally approached some of his apprentices himself to start working at his studio.
Good Life Tattoos provides a welcoming hospitality for its guest tattoo artists from overseas. Janessa Palaming (rightmost) and her husband, Draz, came all the way from the Philippines. Their Tattoo studio ‘Tiamat’ is popular in Quezon City, Philippines.
Jeremy's favourite part of his job is meeting new people. Having tattooed on so many customers, he is bound to meet all kinds of people, of various races and of different backgrounds.
Jeremy's love for drawing led him to start experimenting tattooing on his friends.
He started his apprenticeship at Singapore tattoo industry's renown Time Tattoo Studio 10 years ago, after taking his ‘N’ Levels.
Jeremy’s future plans are to expand his business and to make it into a brand. Besides doing tattoos, he plans to sell hip apparels and accessories with his own name of trademark on it.
As for people who are afraid of committing to a tattoo for the rest of their life, Jeremy hinted at the aphorism you only live once”. He implied that one should enjoy life while they can, even if that entails taking risks and having regrets, as if there would be no other chance for it.
