This is part of a collaboration work which we had done for our design cluster, "Design Criticism and literacy”. Design cluster is a module that encourage collaboration between designers from different interdisciplinary.
Concept
Dashdots is a magazine that aims to inspire young designers to ease their creative blocks. The name itself derives from a situation where designers often face with creative block which results in an inability to access creativity. Our initial idea was to name our magazine blank but after doing research, we realised there was an existing magazine titled “Blank”. We decided to use the name dashdots which also literally means fill in the blank _____________ .
In this particular issue, the month of Singapore’s Independence Day, we will be featuring the local designers of various fields who share the thought process behind their concepts and how they find inspiration. Our main article will cover the critical insights on the dilemma of Singapore design.
