Character Environment Design

This project was made during a class in Game Environment Design class offered from the Illustration Department at RISD. For 13 weeks, we learned Maya, zBrush, and Unreal Engine 4.
Practicing zBrush for the first time
I had two other teammates Jane Ni (ID) and Alyssa Schulman (Illust) who worked with me to create this game. While we all contributed to modeling in order to reduce time an have even workload, we all had main roles we assigned ourselves to when it came to putting the components together.
My role was to create two different mazes for two different environments and furnish the environment with architecture, statues, plants and animals. Along with that, I studied how to include sound effects (steps, water flowing, birds etc.) and figure out how to teleport the 1st person character from a part of map A to a part of map B.
On the last day of class, people got to play a part of our game and run through the maze.
There were some faults and texture mapping accidents during the demo, but I was happy to have learned how to use Maya and Unreal Engine and create a game of my own. If I get the chance, I would love to keep working on Maya and create some characters and creatures of my imagination.
