This chalkboard was designed and illustrated, featuring hand lettering and promoting local shopping. The original intent was to advertise an in-store Local Fest. At the event, local vendors talked to customers and sampled their products. In the initial planning stages, I determined that this could be a permanent fixture in our store if I left off the date and time, so I also made a laminated attachment to the sign that could easily be removed after advertising the actual event.
