White Light Co. was originally made for the Virgin Media Shorts competition restricting submissions to a 2:20 running time, limiting the filmmaker and testing their story-telling skills.
I am a believer in seizing any possible opportunity that comes my way and I am very passionate about the story so I thought it to be ideal timing.
It was also a good occasion to provide a taster of a feature-length script I have been developing as it also forced me to compress the idea down to it's bare essentials.
The film then went on to receive a special 'Pick of the Bunch' at the competition as well as a Best Sci-Fi Film nomination at the Limelight Film Awards.
It also screened at various film festivals within the UK and took me to the semi-finals of highly competitive events featuring judges from BAFTA and agents from channels such as HBO.
