Early in 2011 Kannfinch was requested by MO Holding to develop a master plan for AIB on a prominent site in Kabul Afghanistan. The site is located in the suburb of ‘microryan’ midway along the main road linking the Kabul Business Centre with the International Airport.

The Client is AIB and contract value $25 Million. Completion date December 2015.

Role and Responsibilities: 

- Perform hands-on role of Project Architect and Project Manager on assigned projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects that are professionally executed.
- Management, mentoring and leadership of the technical and design staff, including design and technical direction, project management and support of other offices as required
- Ensure constructive leadership and mentoring of junior staff and effective collaboration with other offices and divisions Design/Production Responsibilities.
- Ensure projects are completed with high levels of technical competency. Ensure quality assurance mandates and processes occur.
- Review and be accountable for design and contract documentation.
- Lead teams to pursue highest level of design excellence throughout the delivery of projects.
- Compose and manage a life safety reports and documentation.
- Study buildings connection, termination and joint and prepare the required details.
- Create all special details of seismic joints and water proofing.
- Preparing the schedules of door types, hardware sets that ANSI code and door details.
- Lead consultant and project design including (concept design, design development, tender & construction package.
