Tamazight Déco
Decorative font

This typeface illustrates some of the richness of the art and culture of Morocco. This design was inspired by a traditional Amazigh (Berber) carpet given to me by my father.  The Tamazight is the standardized Berber language and also refers to the indigenous non-Arab population of North Africa. Given the rich historical heritage of the multi-tributary identity of Morocco, the new impetus has caused a reconsidering of the important aspects of the ingrained design elements and their meanings. This font delivers attention to the Moroccan Amazigh heritage and reveals its aesthetic secrets and symbolic implications in historical, social and cultural contexts.
Every Moroccan carpet is a “painting”, with expressions of different design combinations that hold deeper meaning and semiology. The Moroccan carpet is not only a masterpiece, and a tool for daily use, but also an expression of the life of a particular region or tribe. They are an expression of Moroccan traditions and popular customs and stories. They have their place among the best of the world because they are also characterized by skill and mastery that are unparalleled. This is reflected in my font.
