C-Desk is a flat-pack, cardboard table that allows the user to comfortably work on productive tasks on a bed, a sofa, or other table-less places. It is designed to be able to unfold into a flat sheet of cardboard so that you can store or carry it around with ease.
The design process involved experimenting with many different joint mechanisms and tested out their strength and stability. The final design is a folding mechanism that is easy to construct, easy to assemble and strong.
Using only cardboard, C-Desk is able to reduce 90 - 99% of the cost compared to other competing products from both material and storage cost, and at the same time being fully recyclable.
Its much iterated design allows it to hold up 20 lbs of weight standing on its own, and up to 60 lbs of weight if place on your lap. It holds up to your daily usage and much more.
