Face corset (2016)

My work is a comment on the extremities of plastic surgery. Obsession of people with their appearance and their wish to match for the stereotypical beauty canons, promoted from the covers of the glossy magazines, lead to comical consequences. Normally looking women in their struggling for perfection became a doll. My face corset offer them bigger lips without any surgeries or Botox injections. In addition it makes cheeks looks better. Needle here transformed from the instrument of torture into decorative element. Took inspiration from the horse bridle, my piece of adornment fixed to the teeth inside of a mouth and makes woman to keep silence, but instead of voice she is got a beautiful jewel.
