Photographic Painted Architecture

Why do I paint my architectural photography?

Comments made of my painted architecture suggesting I shouldshow my work to architects and building owners, to promote a livelier and morecolorful urban landscape.
Buildings could look this great! Architecture in MiamiFlorida has this feeling already.
Why not in New York?

I love going to museums to admire and to study thepaintings. Painters like Mondrian, and Kandinsky have influenced me.

It was about 10 years ago that I discovered the idea ofpainting on top of my photographs with a computer. I was experimenting in anexercise to find out “what if ”, and this idea stuck with me. This is all partof my fascination of abstract forms; I search for forms and patterns. Iremember at the time of discovery of this technique, I felt guilty for havingso much fun.  For me it’s thediscovery of images already in my mind. When I see a new angles and shapes,it’s like finding that misplaced thing which I already had. Therefore I’mdelighted with the discovery of this new-old image.

The colors reflect my mood at the time of painting. Sometell me they like my softer color use, however bright colors reflect a happy, positive moment and perhaps this vigorous approach that speaks more about mypersonality.

I try to put my mind at rest, turn-off my analytical mind, and just paint by instinct.
