Moodboards, Web Comps & Wireframes

Design Research Class
The purpose of this project was to design moodboards, wireframes,
and design comps for a website for a sea turtle benefit concert.
Preliminary Moodboard Designs.
A moodboard allows the designer to play around with different colors, textures, images, and themes which can later be incorporated into web design comps.
These must be labeled accordingly, and image sources cited as well.

The moodboard above shows a more peaceful and relaxing design that would appeal to an older demographic target audience.
The floating sea turtle image goes well with the cool blue colors labeled for both RGB and CMYK specifications.

The moodboard above is geared towards a middle aged audience who is specifically interested in environmental friendly causes. The sample images shows a music genre that includes reggae style music this audience would appreciate,
as well as a sad sea turtle image that represents their vulnerability and spiritual nature.
The Berylium font goes well with the old turtle, as do the earth tone RGB and CMYK colors.

This third moodboard above is geared towards a younger, curious audience who is ready for fun and excitement.
The Khaki and Jokerman fonts, are festive and lively, just like the curious sea turtle.
All of these would go well with the beach bands shown here, and would appeal to the targeted younger demographic.

This final moodboard was designed as a way of combining all of the first three designs
in order to target a wider audience of age groups.
Next a set of wireframes was created.
Wireframes are basic schematics to show how individual web pages could be laid out.
These offer brainstorming as to where links, text, and images should be placed.
Wireframes help show how the design would be the most balanced,
without having to be distracted by color and font usage quite yet.

The Final Design Comps
These designs represent each of the five web pages the SSS website will offer
to promote the sea turtle music festival event.
The home page offers some basic information about the event, as well as links in the top right for easy navigation.

The About page offers researched information and images about sea turtle species,
and researched statistics about their decline.

The Music page provides concert dates and band images that keep within the same theme of my final moodboard.
A new music page is shown as an example of what happens when users click on the image of a specific band.
It opens a new page featuring that artist in a new window.

The Info page provides a map from Google, as well as directions from each Florida coast.

Finally, the Tickets page offers a link to purchase tickets. A different image of a sea turtle that represents their
sad and tragic decline, has also been implemented, in order to encourage people to donate, a more prominent donation link
has also been provided
