Mt Burra Sustainable Structure

For this task we were required to create a small temporary home for a family consisting of two adults and two children, which is to be built in the new subdivision of Mt. Burra. The size of the structure was limited to the size of the CAD classroom and it had to be environmentally friendly.
Having to design a structure that met all these specifications was a challenge, the CAD classroom wasn't very big, especially when I came to creating a living space for four people, so to overcome this issue I added an additional level to the structure allow for more area to move around in and for it to be less crowded.
For the block of land for it to sit on, the one I choose was No. 15, as I wanted the back of the house to face east and the front to face to the west. This would allow the sun from the sun rise to shine on the back of the house where the majority of the large windows were.
