Ofni it’s a combination of coffee table with heater. The inspiration to create this project was an old cast-iron stove fired by wood. In many modern buildings or flats there is no possibility to install such stoves. Sometimes we want to spend evening on talking with friend or laying on the couch with cup of tea or coffee, and for this moment Ofni table can meet our needs. It is composed of two main layers. Upper layer, which is completely made in copper, is like tin box where we can put tea lights inside to make warm climate. The top plane is perforated, which helps in convection of heat from candles, meanwhile we can put on it cup of coffee to keep it warm (or even whole coffee service). It has closing on latch, so that it can also be use as hiding place for book, remote, phone, etc. Style of latch and shape of perforations refers to old cooking stove lids. We can treat both layers separate or integrated, according to our needs. Table legs are made by copper rods, table made of laminated MDF with smooth, anti-fingerprint finish. Both materials emphasize the noble form of table.
