SENSATIONALS
Design and create an interactive object relating to the senses.
Your starting point is a journey - a trip on the Glasgow underground. (...) Consider the many sensations of travelling in this unique environment. (...) Stop and get off at several different points to experience and document the environment you incidentally arrive. Your work does not need to directly reference the underground or any particular place, however it is intended to stimulate a response with reference to something you have identified or experienced in your design development investigations.
Further research should explore the human senses and the way these have been considered in other designer artists work. This piece must stimulate at least one of the wearer/ viewers senses. Carefully consider how your design will relate to the body of the person experiencing it. (...)

my response.
I have started my research with the subway trip. It was very stimulating and inspiring. I was observing the surrounding as well as the people. During my trip, I tried to draw straight lines, then I started to add some text to them. The final result made me think of the op-art and the power of the optical illusions. While taking pictures at the stops, I have realised that Glaswegian city is full of mirrors - both natural and urban. Mirror became the key part of this project as it is producing an illusion, the non-existing image, not always telling the truth. What is more, people are like the living mirrors to the others, they are telling how we look like, how we behave, they reflect on who we are.
