THUNDER BOLT LAMP
The project of Thunder Bolt Lamp is the exploration of balance. The project aims to create an object that functions both aesthetically and practically. The Lamp is designed into a lighting product as well as a luminous sculpture. The sense of balance is also explored in its form, as it takes the shape of a thunder bolt whose head is drastically large comparing to its bottom. All the weight comes down relying onto its tiny footprint. As a result, it constitutes a dramatic visual of steadiness and imbalance simultaneously.
Despite its spiky appearance and the aggressive impression of a thunder bolt, the lamp actually disperses a soothing atmosphere when turned on. The soft diffusion of milky light illuminates its pointy golden cage, creating an intricate play between light and shadow, wireframe and silhouette. The Thunder Bold Lamp is the comforter as well as the guardian for your night.
