AKIRA | Kaneda's Headphones

  • Kaneda's Headphones
Is a design / CAD project that aims to design a new pair of bluetooth wireless headphones.
The direction I take on this project is based on the inspiration from Kaneda's motorcycle in the movie AKIRA by Katsuhiro Otomo, 1988, a film that expresses a mixture of cyberpunk, bio-mutation, rebellion, motor-racing, and post-war apocalyptic fantasy.
The design concept involves not only the appearance of the headphones but also the its inner compartments and their connections, which will all be expressed in the CAD process.
The project involves a series of process from brainstorming to moodboard generating, benchmarking and concept drawings, resulting in outcomes of a final CAD model, 2D CAD drawings and a series of rendering.
