Megmozdult a maszk. Kinyitotta száját, hogy elnyeljen...
Tényleg mozgatható állkapcsa van. Csak ki kell nyitnom a számat, és ő is kinyitja az övét. Technika: Papírmasé drótvázon, akrilfesték. 2016-ban készítettem.
Technikai kihívásom volt, hogy mozgatható maszkot hozzak létre, mégpedig olyat, amely törekszik élethűen ábrázolni egy dinoszaurusz: Dilophosaurus koponyát.

Állkapcsa azáltal mozgatható, hogy hozzáerősítem saját állkapcsomhoz.

Ha viselője kinyitja a száját, a koponya állkapcsa is követi, és méretével kihangsúlyozza ezt
a mozdulatot.

A munkafolyamat a fejem körberajzolásával kezdődött, így megkaptam pontos méretemet. Kutatómunkát folytattam, megfigyeltem a Dilophosaurus koponya jellegzetességeit.
A maszk váza drótból készült, erre építettem a karton, majd papírmasé külsőt.
The working progress started with my sister drawing around my head on a big paper to help me to get my correct size. Then I researched and observed some original Dilophosaurus skull references. As for the mask, the base is made with wire which had been covered by paper mache and was colored with acrylic paint.

A maszk két felét rugalmas gumiszalaggal erősítettem egymáshoz: az anyagot hozzávarrtam a maszkhoz a stabilitás eléréséhez.
The two halves of the mask is attached by elastic band. I stitched them in case of of stability.

From our carnival videos I made an assemblage which shows me wearing the mask and focuses on the movement of its jaw. Sorry for the party quality :)

Jelentés: Az ember mindennapjaiban is viselhet maszkokat: szerepet játszik, álarca mögött elrejtheti, ki is ő valójában. Nem tudhatjuk, miféle szörny lakhat az idegen, sőt ismerős emberek lelkének legmélyén. Mielőtt másokat hibáztatnánk, nézzünk magunkba: mibennünk is él szörny?
Meaning: People may wear certain masks as playing roles and can hide their true self. We don’t know what monster can hide deep in others soul. Before blaming other people, let’s commune with our hearts: is there a monster who lives inside us?

2017 februárjában maszkomat felhasználtam az egyetemi Rezolúció kiállítás „Csók” című installációjához, melyben a kifeszített szájú koponyát tükör elé állítottam, így tükörképével érintkezik. Torkába is kistükröt helyeztem, így a munkát szemlélő - a csókolódzó dinók által elnyelt - néző is interakcióba kerül a munkával.
After a year, in February 2017 I used the mask for my installation titled „Kiss” at the Resolution Exhibit of my university class. I stood the mask with open jaws in front of a mirror that it touches the reflection. Another mirror had been put into the mouth so the viewer people - swallowed by kissing dinos - gets interaction with them.
