The Map of RISD's Movement

For Design Foundation Final project, I wanted to explore artistic and psychological impact of architecture on students' movement in Rhode Island School of Design. Individual musrooms, made out of air dry clay, represent students since both RISD community and mushroom possess strong characteristics of quirkiness and diversity. Therefore, all mushrooms are hand made to reinforce the concept of creating individuality and diversity of each mushroom. The plan drawing of RISD includes South workroom, the MET, RISD Beach, and Design and Drawing studio in Waterman building. On the plan drawing, I created a diagram that records how students psychologically react to certain places. By humorously capturing humans' psychological reaction to architecture, I wanted to remind myself of the importance of preserving humanness in the field of architecture.
