Brief: The brief given was to create any product using wood and at least two wood techniques like CNC, lathe, hand tools, etc.

Concept: I chose to make the Illuminator as it would not only come out to be an elegant take on candle and tealight holders, but at the same time add to my knowledge of working with wooden hand tools as well as wood-working machines.

The Illuminator stands apart from its contemporaries because of its rustic and ritualistic feel. It has been created by hand and aims towards encouraging use of more traditional ways of lighting up one's space, and reducing the consumer's carbon footprint.
