The aim of this project was to come up with an innovative and creative stop motion animation aimed at Key Stage 1 children to make them aware of diabetes.

After watching the animation my aim was for children to have a very simple understanding of what diabetes is and most importantly to understand that if someone with diabetes in their class collapses, they need to get an adult or a teacher urgently.

Having created a stop motion animation, I thought it appropriate to have a booklet for the Key Stage 1 children to complete in class. This can then be referenced by the children if they have any questions when the animation has finished and allows the teachers to check the children have an understood the subject after watching the short film.
