This simple little gif is a good example of the possibilities available when you mix After Effects with Cinema 4d Lite. All of my assets were created in one layered Adobe Illustrator file, except for the spinning pills. The pills were built in C4d Lite.

Cinema 4d Lite is included as part of your After Effects CC software. (Open After Effects, go to New and on the drop down you’ll find Maxon Cinema 4d.) I imported my Ai file into After Effects as a layered comp. Animated the comp, then built the pills in C4d lite and brought the pills layer into my comp.

A fifteen second loop, I rendered the comp as a QuickTime movie, imported the movie into Adobe Photoshop and Saved for Web as a gif. – Joe Gast
