Native American Exhibit Redesign Concept

Native American Museum Exhibit Re-design
Canoes and Serpent Mounds
The Native American Exhibit, focused around how Native Americans carved canoes out of a single tree, was in need of a redesign.  The last time it had been worked on was in the 1970s.  Further research revealed that other aspects of Ohio Native Americans were missing.  Though the exhibit lightly mentioned the burial mounds, often found in Ohio, they neglected the most famous one- The Serpent Mounds.  Our group proposed two new designs for the space, one focused on the Serpent Mound, the other on the dugout canoe.  We worked as a team, making rough designs in group settings after researching, in depth. I detailed the designs, presented the project and organized other team members who did the 3D renderings and research.   The museum staff liked the re-design so much, they requested the team to actually install one of the designs.  Unfortunately, other team members were not thrilled by the prospect and the project was discontinued.
